We have raised over $45,000 so far, would you consider partnering with us to reach our goal of $50,000?

This student-led endowment initiative is meant to reach future players that we would not have been able to acquire previously. Overall, it will improve the experience of future players, make Taylor more affordable for incoming prospects, and ultimately leave a legacy that will affect others far beyond us.
The mission of the Taylor University Men’s Tennis Team is to develop whole person athletes--academically, spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially—and to be a brotherhood of Christian men who exemplify Christ-like character on and off the court. We will use our God given gifts to serve Him by demonstrating excellence on the court by competing for the League Championship and the NAIA National Tournament.
Why an endowment?
Taylor Tennis dramatically impacts and changes the course of individuals lives. It is the medium in which character is formed and individuals realize their potential. Through Taylor Tennis, team members have the opportunity not only to exercise their athletic ability but to develop life skills such as perseverance, integrity, and sportsmanship. Through team led devotions, players are also able to turn their attention to eternal things and are given the opportunity to develop a closer relationship with God through team led small groups.
Investing in Taylor Tennis is not about investing in infrastructure or a simply another program, it is about investing in the most valuable commodity in the world: people. Taylor Tennis goes beyond the typical college experience and seeks to enrich players on its team through intentional community, intense competition, and a unique way to deepen your relationship with Christ.
In order to sustain and move the tennis program forward, we have embarked on a student led initiative to start an endowment.

What will it do?
An endowment is a large fund that is invested over time. The interest earned from the investment can then be used for scholarship money. We are starting an endowed fund because we believe in investing in the legacy of Taylor Tennis for the long term rather than for only the short. By starting an endowment, we can continue to increase the amount of equity each year until the interest from the fund will be sufficient to give out significant scholarships. The amount of money necessary to start an endowment is $50,000. The amount of interest earned on a typical endowment is 5%. If you run the numbers, we can generate $2,500 of scholarship money each year from a $50,000 endowment. What is important about an endowment is that is will be able to continue to generate this money year after year. That is why an endowment is such an important part of leaving a legacy at Taylor. The donation that you make to tennis program will continue to impact Taylor Tennis players for untold years to come.
Over time, our goal is to increase the endowment through investment and fundraising to a million dollars. This will enable the tennis program to stay competitive with the schools around us and will insure that many more people have the life changing opportunity to experience Taylor Tennis who otherwise would not.

How can you help?
The most obvious way that you can help this effort is through finances. By donating to this initiative you are investing in countless lives of individuals and enabling these individuals to be exposed to the truth and power of the gospel in the context of tennis. To donate please send checks to Taylor Tennis 236 W. Reade Ave, Upland, IN 46989. You can also donate online by clicking on the tab at the bottom of this page.
There are also other ways that you can also be involved in this initiative. You can partner with us through prayer. Pray that God would continue to move in the hearts and lives of the members on the team and that God would give the tennis team creative ideas to raise adequate funding.
You can also join our Facebook page here. This is a page where past tennis alumni, parents, and friends can connect with each other, share memories of Taylor Tennis and also post job or internship opportunities for current players. Past players and friends can also let us know of a recruit that would fit the mission and vision of Taylor Tennis.
